Family Quest

Privacy Policy

Effective date: July 9, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Family Quest ("the app") handles information. Family Quest is published by Enger Studio LLC. I am Paul Enger, and I build and run the app myself. In this policy, "I", "me", and "my" refer to Enger Studio LLC. Family Quest is built to respect your family's privacy. It works offline, has no accounts or logins, and does not collect personal information.

1. Information I do NOT collect

Family Quest does not ask for, collect, or store any of the following:

There is no sign-up and no profile. You can use the app without providing any personal information.

2. Information stored on your device

The app saves a small amount of data locally on your device so it works well, including your game progress, which prompts have been shown (so they do not repeat), your settings (sound, haptics, chosen age range), and whether you have unlocked the full game. This information stays on your device and is not sent to me. Deleting the app removes it.

3. Purchases

The full-game unlock is a one-time purchase handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. Apple processes the payment. I never see or store your payment card details. Apple's handling of purchase data is governed by Apple's privacy policy.

4. Analytics

Family Quest does not currently use any analytics service. The app contains no third-party analytics SDK and sends no usage events off your device. No usage data leaves your device.

If I ever add analytics in a future update, I will only use a privacy-first provider that collects no personal information and cannot identify you or your device, I will name that provider in this section, and I will update the effective date above. Until you see a provider named here, none is in use and nothing leaves your device.

5. Children's privacy

Family Quest is a family app that children may use. I take children's privacy seriously. The app does not knowingly collect personal information from children (or anyone). Because it collects no personal data and uses no advertising or cross-app tracking, the app is designed to comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and similar laws. If you believe personal information has somehow been collected from a child, contact me and I will address it.

6. Third parties

I do not sell, rent, or share personal information, because I do not collect it. The only third party involved is Apple, which handles the App Store download and the one-time in-app purchase. No analytics provider is currently used; if that ever changes, it will be named in the Analytics section above.

7. Data security and retention

Because personal data is not collected, there is no personal data for me to lose. On-device data remains on your device under your control and is removed when you delete the app.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example under GDPR or CCPA), you may have rights regarding personal data. Since I do not collect personal data, there is typically nothing to access, correct, or delete on my side. You control all on-device data by managing or deleting the app.

9. Changes to this policy

I may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the effective date above. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated policy.
